Corporate Responsibility

We are proud of our company’s values and ethics. We consider it our responsibility, as a business, to make positive contributions to people (social causes), planet (environmental sustainability) and profit (a healthy business). Below are highlights of our accomplishments:

• Energy: We have greatly reduced our office lighting energy use and we choose to buy only low-impact, small-scale renewable electricity from Bullfrog Power.
• Greenhouse gas emissions: As a result of our energy choices, we have reduced our annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 75% since 2007. We offset the remainder every year using LivClean carbon offsets.
• Paper: We minimize our paper consumption and use only EcoLogo-certified paper for all internal printing and external publications.
• Donations: We donate at least 5% of our annual net profits to local, Canadian and international charities and non-profit organizations.
• Community events: We actively participate in events that support our community.
• Local support: We choose local businesses to support our work functions, whenever possible.
